On day 4 we left Kiama headed to Gundagai
First stop Albion park Cemetery to find the grave of my Great great grandfather the husband of the Great great grandmother we found in Rookwood he is buried with her parents my 3x Great grandparents so that was awesome to find them as well made me sad and happy at the same time
On our way we stopped to do another bushwalk to see a water fall
Our very first siting of a Lyrebird amazing |
was summer time so not that much water but still beautiful |
This little lizard was on the path on way back |
Five miles from Gundagai in Snake Gully is the statue of The Dog on the Tucker box which is the dog in the Poem Bullocky Bill published in 1857 by Bowyang Yorke a tucker box is an Australian word for lunch box
The Poem |
We arrived in Gundagai booked into our motel and went for a look around town
Photo shows old Road and Railway bridges as this was a flood plain |
The bridge up close would not want to drive on it now |
Have a great day :)
